Blasted Heath, launched by Penhaligon's in 2015 and crafted by Alberto Morillas, is a composition that captures the essence of a rugged coastline. The fragrance opens with sea notes and seaweed, creating an immediate sense of salty air and tidal pools. Clary sage and green leaves add freshness to this aquatic accord, while tobacco and whiskey lend warmth and depth. Vetiver and guaiac wood form a robust base that anchors the scent with earthy richness.
Apply this fragrance with a moderate spray — the marine notes are vibrant but fleeting. The woody base takes about an hour to fully settle in, so give it time before reapplying. It pairs well for daytime or evening wear, depending on your preference.
