Opus 1870 by Penhaligon's, launched in 2005, is a composition that balances the fresh and warm spicy elements with woody and smoky undertones. Pepper and yuzu open the fragrance with a vibrant burst of citrus and spice, while cardamom and cinnamon add warmth. The heart introduces a blend of rose and orris root for soft floral notes, anchored by sandalwood and leather in the base. This contrast between fresh brightness and rich depth creates a dynamic scent that is both invigorating and grounding.
