Roja Dove launched Chypré Extraordinaire in 2018, blending the classic chypre structure with an intricate array of notes that evoke both heritage and modernity. This fragrance opens with aldehydes and bergamot, creating a bright and fresh top layer before diving into a heart of ylang-ylang, jasmine, and tuberose. The base is where this composition truly stands out: oakmoss, civet, leather, and a rich array of woods and spices create an earthy, animalic warmth that grounds the entire composition.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — the aldehydes and citrus notes dissipate quickly, but the base notes build richness over time. It’s best suited for evenings or cooler weather when you want a warm and enveloping scent that lasts close to your skin.
