Launched in 2007 by Roja Dove, Enslaved is an Oriental fragrance that encapsulates the essence of rich, warm spices and deep, enveloping woods. The composition opens with a vibrant blend of citrus notes — bergamot, lime, and lemon — which create a refreshing contrast to the heart's floral bouquet of carnation, ylang-ylang, geranium, rose, jasmine, and orange blossom. As it settles into its base, Enslaved reveals a luxurious amalgamation of amber, labdanum, oakmoss, musk, vetiver, patchouli, and cedar, offering a depth that feels both grounding and sensuous.
Enslaved is best applied in moderation; its rich base notes can be overpowering if overused. Two sprays on pulse points are sufficient to allow the fragrance to unfold naturally throughout the day. It reads better close to skin rather than projecting widely.
