The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2020 by Roja Dove, Pierre de Velay No. 16 is a Floral Fruity fragrance that weaves together the brightness of citrus with the warmth of powdery woods and white florals. The composition begins with a vibrant burst from grapefruit, bergamot, and lemon, which gradually gives way to the softness of peach and rhubarb. At its heart, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, and ylang-ylang create a delicate floral bouquet that is both familiar and enchanting. The base notes of vanilla, orris, and cedar provide a grounding warmth, ensuring the fragrance remains comforting throughout the day.
This fragrance is best experienced close to skin rather than in a wide sillage. A single spritz will allow the citrus top notes to shine initially, followed by the gradual unfolding of its floral and woody heart. For daytime wear, it pairs beautifully with light fabrics; for evening, it offers subtle depth without overpowering.
