The story behind the bottle.
Jeux de Peau, launched by Serge Lutens in 2011 and crafted by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, is an Oriental Woody fragrance that evokes a rich blend of textures and sensations. The composition opens with the creamy warmth of milk and wheat, balanced by the subtle sweetness of licorice and coconut. As it develops, the scent transitions to a heart of immortelle and osmanthus, which add a delicate floral touch before settling into a powdery base of sandalwood, spices, woody notes, and amber. This fragrance is neither overtly sweet nor overwhelmingly spicy; instead, it creates a nuanced interplay between warmth and softness.
Apply this fragrance sparingly — its powdery base notes bloom gradually over time. A light spritz on the wrists and neck will allow the layers to unfold naturally throughout the day without overpowering.
