Launched in 2019, La Couche du Diable by Serge Lutens is a creation that challenges the senses with its complex interplay of warmth and spiciness. Perfumer Christopher Sheldrake weaves together an amber and woody base with warm spices like cinnamon and oud, giving the fragrance a rich, enveloping quality. The composition opens with a hint of citrus, which cuts through the sweetness of the rose and musk, creating a dynamic tension that evolves throughout the day.
