Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Nuit de Cellophane by Serge Lutens, created by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake and launched in 2009, is an enigmatic floral fragrance that seamlessly bridges the worlds of day and night. The composition opens with a vibrant interplay between citrus and green notes, which gives way to a heart dominated by white florals and subtle fruity accents. Honeyed sweetness and soft spices round out the base, creating a warm embrace that lingers long after the initial freshness fades.
This fragrance blooms gradually, so a light application is recommended. The citrus and green top notes are most prominent in the first hour but give way to the floral and honey base notes that linger on skin for hours. It’s best experienced close to the skin rather than from a distance.
