Lys Fume by Tom Ford, launched in 2012 and crafted by perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu, is a floral fragrance that marries the elegance of white lily with warm spices and woody accords. The composition opens with nutmeg, turmeric, and pink pepper before transitioning to the heart notes of Italian mandarin, white lily, and ylang-ylang. The base layers of rum, artemisia, Madagascar vanilla, oak, labdanum, and styrax create a rich blend that is both comforting and enigmatic.
Apply Lys Fume sparingly to allow its nuanced layers to develop naturally. The warm spices and woody base take time to bloom fully on skin, making it ideal for a quiet evening or indoor setting where the scent can evolve over hours.
