Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2010 by Yves Saint Laurent, Belle d'Opium was positioned as a 'next generation' successor to the iconic Opium. Created by perfumers Alberto Morillas and Honorine Blanc, this Oriental Woody fragrance combines white florals like Casablanca Lily and Jasmine with fruity notes and warm spices. Despite its promising premise, it has been criticized for its generic floriental profile and weak sillage, leading to lukewarm-to-negative reviews from enthusiasts. Now discontinued, Belle d'Opium remains a proof of the high standards set by its predecessor.
This fragrance has a short sillage and longevity for its EDP concentration. For best effect, apply it close to your skin — pulse points like wrists and neck will allow you to enjoy its warm spices and fruity sweetness more intimately than from afar.
