Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Pour Monsieur Concentrée by Chanel was launched in 1989 and crafted by Jacques Polge, a fragrance that marries the freshness of citrus and aromatic notes with the warmth of spices and woods. The opening is bright and zesty, thanks to mandarin orange and petitgrain, which cut through the air like a crisp morning breeze. As it evolves, cardamom and nutmeg introduce a subtle spiciness, followed by the earthy tones of oakmoss and vetiver that ground the composition in a woody richness. The final touch comes from vanilla and opoponax, adding a warm, comforting finish.
Apply one or two sprays to the neck and wrists for a balanced wear. The fragrance's aromatic opening is quite bright, so it works best during cooler hours when the spicy and woody base notes have time to develop fully.
