Chlorophyll Gardenia by Comme des Garçons, launched in 2019 and crafted by perfumer Caroline Dumur, is a Floral Green fragrance that embodies the avant-garde spirit of its Parisian fashion house. The composition opens with a striking contrast between fresh green notes and the creamy sweetness of gardenia, creating an unexpected harmony. This blend evolves into a warm lactonic and animalic base that adds depth without overpowering the freshness. It is neither conventional nor predictable — much like Rei Kawakubo's collections, which challenge traditional notions of fashion.
