Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2007 by Comme des Garçons, Champaca is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance created by perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer. This scent opens with angelica and white pepper, adding a fresh spicy note that contrasts beautifully with the warm and enveloping tuberose and champaca at its heart. The base of orris and white musk provides a powdery, sweet warmth that lingers on the skin long after application. Nathalie Feisthauer’s composition captures both the sophistication of Comme des Garçons' avant-garde aesthetic and the comforting essence of floral musks.
One or two sprays are sufficient — the fresh spicy top notes will fade within an hour but leave behind the soft, powdery warmth of the base. This fragrance reads better close to skin than in a room, so aim for pulse points rather than large areas.
