Launched in 2008 by Comme des Garçons, H&M is a unisex Chypre fragrance that embodies the brand's avant-garde ethos. The composition opens with an earthy patchouli note that grounds the scent before it transitions into a warm and spicy heart. This contrast creates a tension between modernity and tradition, characteristic of Rei Kawakubo’s 'anti-fashion' philosophy. The powdery base adds a soft layer, making H&M both familiar and unexpected.
Apply H&M with a light hand — its moderate longevity means that it will evolve gracefully throughout the day. The patchouli note is particularly strong, so one or two sprays are sufficient to maintain a balanced presence.
