Launched in 2025, Max Richter 01 by Comme des Garçons is a Woody fragrance for women and men crafted by perfumer Guillaume Flavigny. The composition opens with the bright spiciness of ylang-ylang, cumin, and black pepper, which gives way to a heart of marigold and graphite. This contrast between sharp aromatics and subtle mineral notes is underscored by a warm base of resins, cedar, vetiver, and patchouli, creating an olfactory experience that is both fresh and grounding.
One to two sprays are sufficient — the fresh spicy top notes are immediate but fade within an hour. The warm base notes develop gradually over time, making it ideal for a day-long wear where you want something subtle yet lasting.
