Launched in 2021, Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle is a captivating composition crafted by perfumer Anne Flipo. The fragrance opens with the sharp freshness of galbanum and basil, giving way to a lush heart of white florals like lily-of-the-valley and jasmine. Oakmoss and patchouli anchor this scent, adding an earthy, mossy depth that grounds its vibrant top notes. This is not just a fragrance but a journey through a synthetic jungle where natural and artificial elements blend seamlessly.
Given its long-lasting nature, a single spritz is often sufficient. Allow it to settle for about five minutes before reapplying if you desire more intensity. The earthy base notes emerge after an hour, so it's best enjoyed close to the skin rather than from afar.
