The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2011 by Givenchy and crafted by François Demachy, Dahlia Noir is a sophisticated chypre floral that marries earthy depth with sweet florals. The composition begins with pink pepper and mimosa, introducing a subtle sparkle before iris and rose take center stage. These notes are anchored by rich tonka bean, sandalwood, and vanilla, creating a warm, enveloping base. This fragrance is neither overtly feminine nor masculine, embodying Givenchy's signature blend of French elegance and understated refinement.
Dahlia Noir blooms best when applied to pulse points. The pink pepper and mimosa opening notes are fleeting, so let them play out before the richer base notes reveal their depth. This fragrance reads better close to skin than from across a room, making it perfect for more subdued settings.
