The story behind the bottle.
Dahlia Noir Eau de Toilette by Givenchy was launched in 2012 and crafted by perfumer François Demachy. This fragrance opens with bright citrus notes of lemon and mandarin orange, which immediately bring a sense of freshness and vibrancy to the composition. As it evolves, the heart introduces rose and hedione, creating a delicate floral bouquet that is both warm and inviting. The base notes of musk, sandalwood, vanilla, cedar, and amber add depth and an enveloping warmth, making this scent feel like a comforting embrace.
One or two sprays is sufficient — the bright top notes are prominent initially but give way to the warm base within an hour. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than filling a room, so aim for pulse points for a more intimate experience.
