The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2002 by Givenchy, Eau Torride is crafted by perfumer Christine Nagel and embodies the brand's blend of French elegance and American glamour. The composition opens with bright citrus notes of bergamot, lemon, and mandarin orange that give way to a heart of peach and jasmine, creating an unexpected warmth and sweetness. The base notes of bamboo, black elder, sandalwood, and powdery musk add depth and a subtle smokiness, making this fragrance both fresh and enveloping.
For best effect, apply Eau Torride in layers throughout the day. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, while the powdery and woody base notes build warmth over time. This fragrance reads well close to skin rather than filling a room, so aim for targeted spritzes on pulse points.
