The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2008 by perfumers Émilie Coppermann and Lucas Sieuzac, Givenchy Play Intense is a sophisticated Oriental Fougere that marries the boldness of coffee with the warmth of woody accords. The composition opens with a bright burst of mandarin orange and bergamot, which quickly gives way to the rich aroma of coffee and pink pepper. As it settles into its base, notes of tonka bean, patchouli, vetiver, and French labdanum create an inviting warmth that feels both comforting and enigmatic.
Givenchy Play Intense has a strong presence from the start, so one generous spray is enough. The top notes are vibrant but fade quickly, allowing the warm base to linger throughout the day. It pairs well with casual or formal settings, making it an ideal choice for both daytime and evening wear.
