Encens Mythique D'Orient by Guerlain, launched in 2012 and crafted by Thierry Wasser, weaves together an intricate composition of warm spices, smoky incense, and rich amber. The fragrance opens with aldehydes that cut through the sweetness of rose and saffron before settling into a base of patchouli, vetiver, and ambergris, creating a complex blend of aromas that evoke an opulent oriental journey. Thierry Wasser's expertise shines here as he balances the warmth of woody notes with the animalic depth of incense, resulting in a scent that is both luxurious and enigmatic.
Apply this fragrance in light layers to allow its complex notes to unfold gradually. The smoky and woody base notes take time to bloom, so it’s best to let it settle on the skin for at least an hour before reapplying if needed.
