Habit Rouge Armoiries by Guerlain was launched in 2006 as a Woody Spicy fragrance for men. This composition opens with bright citrus notes — orange, bergamot, and lime — that introduce an invigorating freshness before giving way to the warmth of cinnamon and neroli. The heart unfolds with Virginia cedar and leather, adding a rugged depth, while patchouli and oud bring earthy richness to the base. This fragrance is a proof of Guerlain’s legacy of using luxurious materials like French vanilla and ylang-ylang from their own plantations.
Apply this fragrance in two light sprays to allow its citrus top notes to shine initially, giving way to the rich base notes that develop over time. The patchouli and oud will bloom best after an hour, making it ideal for a day-long wear.
