Les Voyages Olfactifs 05 Paris-Shanghai by Guerlain, launched in 2012 and crafted by perfumer Thierry Wasser, is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that captures the essence of two iconic cities. The composition opens with an aromatic blend of star anise and bergamot, creating a vibrant freshness that transitions into a heart of mimosa, ylang-ylang, and orange blossom, bringing an airy floral quality to the scent. The base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, cedar, and vetiver provide a warm, woody foundation with subtle powdery undertones.
Apply this fragrance in light layers, as it blooms gradually over time. The top notes are bright but fade quickly, allowing the floral heart to emerge after about an hour. For a balanced experience, avoid heavy application; two sprays should suffice for a lasting impression.
