Launched in 2014 by Guerlain, Terracotta Le Parfum is a floral scent developed by perfumer Thierry Wasser. Despite its relative obscurity and limited availability throughout the year, it has garnered a devoted niche following as a 'solar floral' summer scent within Guerlain's lineup. The composition opens with the bright freshness of bergamot and coconut before diving into a heart of tiare flower, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and orange blossom — all anchored by vanilla and musk. Critics have noted that its longevity does not quite match its billing as a 'parfum,' but those who love it find its sunny bouquet irresistible during the warmer months.
Given its weaker longevity, layer it generously for optimal impact. The top notes are fleeting, so apply before stepping out in the sun. It's best suited for daytime wear when you want a bright, floral presence.
