The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2002 and created by perfumer Akiko Kamei, Rouge Hermès Eau Delicate is a floral woody musk fragrance that embodies the house’s signature blend of elegance and subtle complexity. The composition opens with aldehydes and fresh florals like rose and ylang-ylang, creating an immediate sense of brightness and clarity. As it evolves, vanilla and amber add warmth and depth, while cedar provides a grounding element that keeps the scent from becoming overly sweet or overwhelming.
Apply one or two sprays to pulse points; the aldehydic top notes are bright but fleeting. The vanilla and amber base develops gradually, so allow it to settle on your skin for at least an hour before reapplying if needed.

Akiko Kamei, originally trained as a dietician in Kōchi, Japan, developed a passion for French culture and moved to France, securing an internship at Roure in Grasse in the early 1970s alongside future colleagues Pierre Bourdon, Édouard Fléchier, and Michel Almairac.
