L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Shade of Lagoon, launched in 2019 and crafted by perfumer Aurélien Guichard, is a Woody Aquatic fragrance that captures the essence of a serene coastal moment. The composition opens with vibrant citrus notes like grapefruit and lime, combined with fresh spices such as ginger and cardamom, creating an invigorating top accord. This freshness gives way to sea notes and green accords, bringing a sense of marine clarity. The heart features cypress and geranium, adding layers of depth before settling into a base of ambroxan, vetiver, musk, and cedar, which ground the fragrance with earthy warmth.
For best effect, apply two sprays to pulse points. The citrus and spice top notes are bright but fade quickly, so aim for an initial impact. The marine and woody base notes will develop closer to the skin over time, making this fragrance ideal for daytime wear.
