Lacrima by Les Liquides Imaginaires, launched in 2014 and crafted by perfumers Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel, is a Woody Chypre fragrance that marries the earthy richness of castoreum with the spicy bite of pink pepper. The composition unfolds with elemi and cypriol oil, creating an intricate balance between smoky, balsamic warmth and aromatic freshness. Lacrima's complex blend feels like two worlds colliding: the rustic, leathery depth of a well-worn library and the crisp, invigorating scent of pine forests.
Lacrima's earthy and smoky notes develop gradually, so a few sprays to start will allow the fragrance to build naturally. The base notes are long-lasting but subtle, making it ideal for an evening out or a day in the office where its complexity can be appreciated up close.
