The story behind the bottle.
Jean-Claude Astier crafted Aoud by M. Micallef, launched in 2003, as an ode to the Arabian nights with its rich blend of oud and warm spices. The fragrance opens with a burst of rose, which quickly gives way to the heart notes of agarwood (oud), saffron, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sandalwood. These elements create a blend of warmth and depth, underscored by honey and patchouli in the base. Aoud is not just a fragrance; it's an immersive experience that channels the magic and diversity of one of the most precious essences in perfumery.
Aoud is best applied in light sprays — its warm spices and woody base notes will bloom gradually over time. It's particularly suited for evenings or cooler weather when you want a scent that lingers close to your skin.
