The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2017 by Mancera, Black Gold is a Leather fragrance crafted by Pierre Montale. The composition opens with the bright freshness of citruses and lavender, balanced by warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. As it develops, it reveals the richness of agarwood (oud), jasmine, and rose, all anchored by earthy notes of patchouli leaf, vetiver, and leather. This fragrance is neither overwhelmingly sweet nor woody but strikes a harmonious balance between aromatic freshness and powdery warmth.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points. The fresh aromatic top notes will fade within an hour, but the warm, powdery base notes will linger for hours, making this fragrance ideal for daytime wear. It reads better close to skin than across a room.
