The story behind the bottle.
Shinanay by Nishane, crafted by perfumer Angelos Balamis and launched in 2024, is an Oriental Floral fragrance that balances the brightness of green and aromatic notes with the warmth of woody and balsamic accords. The composition opens with galbanum and elemi, giving way to a heart of tuberose and gardenia, before settling into a base of civet, oakmoss, and Himalayan cedar. This fragrance is neither overtly sweet nor overly complex; instead, it offers a layered experience that evolves subtly throughout the day.
Apply Shinanay in light layers to allow its subtle nuances to unfold gradually. The green and aromatic top notes are brief but impactful, while the base notes provide long-lasting warmth. This fragrance reads best close to the skin, making it perfect for intimate moments or a day spent indoors.

Angelos Balamis
Vintage technique, engineered mindAngelos Balamis is a Greek perfumer based in Thessaloniki who began composing fragrances in 2014, drawn to the possibility of creating something original by marrying vintage perfumery techniques with a modern touch.
“Everything started back in 2014. I was fascinated by the possibility of being able to create something new, unusual and original, trying to marry vintage techniques, which I adore, with a modern touch.”
