The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Nishane and crafted by perfumer Chris Maurice, Vain & Naïve is a fragrance that dances between the sweet charm of fruity and floral notes and the warm embrace of woody and powdery accords. The opening with orange and bergamot brings a vibrant freshness, quickly giving way to raspberry and plum for a touch of sweetness. At its heart, rose and jasmine create a delicate balance, while cedar, sandalwood, and tonka bean anchor the base in rich warmth. This composition is as much about contrast as it is harmony, making it a distinctive offering from Nishane.
Vain & Naïve has a bright opening that fades within two hours, so apply it in layers for longevity. The powdery and woody base notes are best experienced close to skin rather than across the room, making it ideal for daytime wear.
