Launched in 2005, Ellenisia by Penhaligon's is a Floral fragrance crafted by perfumer Steve DeMercado. The composition opens with the vibrant freshness of mandarin orange and violet leaf, creating an immediate sense of green vitality. This gives way to a heart of gardenia, tuberose, jasmine, and rose, which blend into an opulent yet nuanced floral bouquet. The base notes of plum and vanilla add a touch of sweetness, while subtle animalic undertones lend depth and complexity.
Apply Ellenisia lightly for daytime wear — the floral heart and green top notes are best appreciated close to skin rather than across a room. For evening, a slightly heavier application allows the base notes of plum and vanilla to come through more prominently.
