The story behind the bottle.
The Coveted Duchess Rose by Penhaligon's, launched in 2016 and crafted by Christophe Raynaud, is a fragrance that captures the essence of refined elegance. The composition opens with a bright citrus note before diving into a heart of rose, which is both floral and powdery, creating an air of softness and warmth. Underneath, musky and woody accords anchor the scent with a subtle depth that feels intimate rather than overwhelming.
One or two sprays on pulse points is sufficient — the citrus note fades quickly, but the musky base lingers for hours. This fragrance reads better close to skin than from across a room, making it perfect for an intimate evening.
