The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Robert Piguet and crafted by perfumer Aurélien Guichard, Gardenia is a floral fragrance that captures the essence of its namesake flower. The composition opens with a bright bouquet of lily and gardenia, balanced by the warm richness of ylang-ylang and Madagascar vanilla. A powdery, woody base adds depth, while subtle spicy notes and a hint of leather lend it an animalic edge that keeps the scent intriguing throughout the day.
Gardenia is best applied in two light sprays — the top notes are vibrant but fade within an hour. The powdery base lasts longer, so it’s ideal for daytime wear when you want a scent that evolves throughout the day without overpowering.
