Launched in 2014 by Serge Lutens and crafted by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, Laine de Verre is a fragrance that captures the essence of crisp freshness and subtle warmth. The aldehydic opening gives way to a powdery musk base, creating an intriguing contrast between its clean, soapy top notes and the enveloping woody undercurrents. This composition is neither overtly floral nor overly sweet, instead offering a nuanced blend that feels both modern and lasting.
Apply Laine de Verre lightly at first; its aldehydic top notes are particularly bright and can be overwhelming if overapplied. The musky base develops slowly, so it's best to let it settle into your skin for a few minutes before adding more.
