Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2012, Zen Secret Bloom by Shiseido is a chypre floral fragrance crafted by perfumer Michel Almairac. The composition opens with pink pepper and blue rose, bringing an unexpected freshness to the mix. This gives way to a heart of freesia, jasmine, and gardenia, creating a lush floral bouquet that feels both familiar and new. The base notes of patchouli, black vanilla husk, incense, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood, and vetiver ground this fragrance with warmth and depth, making it feel like an intimate secret known only to the wearer.
This fragrance layers well with its complex notes. Apply one generous spray to ensure that the base notes have enough presence. The warmth of this scent makes it ideal for cooler evenings but can also be worn year-round as an intimate signature.
