The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2011 by Shiseido and crafted by perfumer Françoise Caron, Zen for Men White Heat Edition is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that balances freshness with warmth. The composition opens with mint and hassaku citrus notes, providing an invigorating burst of energy before transitioning into the heart where granny smith apple and lime bring a crisp, fruity contrast to juniper and rhododendron. As it settles, cardamom and wormwood add depth with their warm, spicy undertones, while sandalwood and musk create a grounding base that keeps the fragrance from becoming too light or fleeting.
Start with a light spritz — the citrus and fruity top notes dissipate quickly but leave behind a lasting warmth. This fragrance is best applied in the morning when its freshness can carry through to evening.

One of the first women to master the Grasse methodFrançoise Caron is a perfumer born in Grasse, France in 1949, into a family involved in the raw materials trade, and one of the few women in the perfumery industry at the time she trained at the Roure Bertrand Dupont Perfumery School.
