The story behind the bottle.
Basilico & Fellini, created by Jérôme Epinette for Vilhelm Parfumerie in 2017, is a vibrant exploration of the aromatic and fruity realms. The composition opens with fresh basil and pitahaya, introducing a burst of green freshness that feels like stepping into a sunlit garden. As it evolves, fig and violet add layers of sweetness and depth, while hay and vetiver bring earthy warmth to the base. This fragrance captures the essence of an Italian summer, combining the crispness of fresh herbs with the richness of ripe fruits.
One or two sprays are sufficient to capture the essence of Basilico & Fellini. The basil and pitahaya notes are bright and fleeting, so applying it right before you step out ensures that the green vibrancy remains front and center. It pairs well with casual daytime activities but can also transition into a relaxed evening.
