The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Vilhelm Parfumerie and crafted by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, Poets of Berlin is a woody Oriental fragrance that captures the essence of Berlin's cultural vibrancy. The composition opens with bright notes of blueberry and lemon, creating an initial freshness before transitioning into the heart where orris and bamboo lend an earthy, aromatic character. The base notes of vanilla, sandalwood, and vetiver ground the scent in a warm, powdery embrace that evokes the city's rich literary and artistic heritage.
Poets of Berlin has a relatively short-lived top note, so aim for two sprays initially. The base notes bloom after about an hour, making it perfect for daytime wear where the earthy warmth complements both casual and professional settings.
