Launched in 2015 by Vilhelm Parfumerie and crafted by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, The Oud Affair is a luxurious Oriental Woody fragrance that balances the rich warmth of oud with honeyed sweetness and spicy freshness. Opening with notes of ginger and tobacco leaf, it quickly transitions into an intense heart of agarwood (oud) and honey, creating a complex interplay between earthy depth and sweet indulgence. The base of vanilla adds a powdery finish, ensuring that the scent remains both comforting and enigmatic.
Apply one to two sprays on pulse points. The ginger and tobacco notes are most pronounced in the first hour, so allow it time to settle before stepping out. This fragrance is best worn during cooler evenings when its warm base notes can linger comfortably.
