The story behind the bottle.
Black Citrus by Vilhelm Parfumerie was launched in 2015, crafted by perfumer Jérôme Epinette. This Woody Aromatic fragrance opens with a burst of Calabrian bergamot and cardamom, creating an aromatic and spicy freshness that cuts through the senses. As it settles, mate and violet introduce a subtle warmth, while birch and patchouli ground the composition in earthy smokiness and woody depth.
The result is a scent that oscillates between bright citrus vibrancy and rich leather undertones, making it feel both contemporary and lasting.
Apply two sprays — the citrus notes are bright and fleeting but the woody base notes take time to develop. This fragrance is best worn close to skin for an intimate experience rather than a room-filling statement.
