The story behind the bottle.
Challenge Re/Fresh by Lacoste Fragrances was launched in 2011, a fragrance that brings together the aromatic freshness of birch and cardamom with the warmth and depth of patchouli and leather. Perfumer Guillaume Flavigny crafted this composition to embody a dynamic contrast between crisp, invigorating top notes and a rich, smoky base. This duality makes it feel like two fragrances in one — initially bright and energetic, then warming into something more complex and enduring.
Challenge Re/Fresh opens with an invigorating burst of cardamom and birch that fades after about two hours. To fully appreciate its depth, layer it on slightly warmer skin; this helps the rich base notes like patchouli and leather emerge more quickly.
