Amphorae 27 by Xerjoff was launched in 2022 as a sophisticated blend of musky and fresh spicy accords. The fragrance opens with the vibrant citrus notes of Brazilian Orange and Calabrian Bergamot, which give way to the warm spices like cloves, cumin, cardamom, and black pepper. At its heart, the scent balances floral elements such as ylang-ylang and Bulgarian rose against a backdrop of rich ambergris, civet, and musk. The base notes feature the earthy depth of Singapore patchouli and Madagascar vanilla, creating an intricate blend that is both animalic and powdery.
This fragrance has a strong opening but settles into its heart notes within about an hour. A light spritz on pulse points will allow the warm and powdery base to develop fully throughout the day. It pairs well with layering, especially during cooler weather.
