The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2019 by Yves Saint Laurent and crafted by perfumer Quentin Bisch, Grain de Poudre is a unisex fragrance that balances the crispness of fresh spices with the subtle warmth of suede and musk. The composition opens with black pepper and coriander, creating an initial sharpness that gives way to violet leaves and sage. These herbal notes lend a natural freshness to the scent, which eventually settles into a powdery and leather base. Grain de Poudre captures the essence of modern elegance, blending contemporary ozonic and aquatic accords with traditional musky and leathery tones.
Grain de Poudre is best applied in light layers to allow its complex notes to unfold gradually. The fresh spicy top notes are fleeting, so one or two sprays will ensure that the powdery and leather base notes carry through the day without overpowering.
