The Library Collection Opus IX by Amouage is a complex and enigmatic fragrance that was launched in 2015. Crafted by perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Pierre Negrin, it weaves together an animalic heart of civet and ambergris with the warmth of leather and woody accords. The top notes of jasmine and black pepper introduce a vibrant contrast, while beeswax adds a subtle powdery touch. This composition is both intriguing and intimate, evoking a sense of discovery within its layers.
Due to its strong sillage and eternal longevity, this fragrance needs only a light application. It projects powerfully from the start but allows for nuanced exploration over time. For best effect, apply it on cooler skin for a more subdued opening that gradually reveals its depth.
