Bois Obscur by Byredo is a composition that captures the essence of contemporary elegance. Launched in 2025 and crafted by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, this Oriental Woody fragrance opens with saffron and eucalyptus, creating an intriguing tension between the earthy warmth of oud and the crisp freshness of papyrus. The heart unfolds with a delicate floral bouquet of tuberose and jasmine, while the base notes of patchouli, labdanum, amber, and sandalwood offer a rich, warm embrace that lingers on the skin.
Apply Bois Obscur lightly — its base notes take time to develop fully. The eucalyptus top note fades quickly, but the warm spicy heart and rich amber base will build over several hours for a lasting effect. Best suited for evening wear when you want a scent that develops close to your skin.
