Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Diorama by Dior was launched in 1948, created by perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. This chypre fruity fragrance for women is an intricate blend of white florals and woody accords, with a touch of animalic warmth. The composition opens with fresh spicy notes like cinnamon and pepper, which cut through the sweetness of plum, peach, and melon. As it settles, gardenia, jasmine, tuberose, and rose create a lush floral bouquet that is anchored by musky and powdery base notes, including civetta, castoreum, leather, and sandalwood.
Apply this fragrance with two sprays to allow the complex layers to develop fully. The spicy top notes are bright but fade quickly; focus on how the floral heart and woody base interact throughout the day, which can take up to an hour to bloom.
