Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2020, Oiseau Rare by Givenchy is a floral fragrance that marries the delicate beauty of white florals with the warmth and depth of woody notes, crafted by perfumer Olivier Cresp. The composition opens with tuberose and pepper, creating an intriguing tension between freshness and spiciness. As it evolves, orange blossom and jasmine add layers of sweetness and softness, while vetiver and cedar offer a grounding earthiness. The heart is further enriched by pittosporum, which adds a subtle green quality, before vanilla absolute rounds out the base with its rich, comforting warmth.
Apply Oiseau Rare to pulse points for the best effect; it blooms beautifully on skin over time. The spicy top notes are brief but impactful, so don't be tempted to layer heavily at first — two sprays should do the trick.
