The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2015 by Thierry Wasser, Shalimar Cologne by Guerlain is a modern interpretation of the house's classic elegance. The fragrance opens with vibrant citrus notes — lemon, bergamot, and lime — that create an immediate freshness. These top notes give way to a heart of freesia, rose, and jasmine, which blend harmoniously into a powdery and aromatic base of vanilla, orris, and white musk. This composition is a proof of Guerlain's enduring tradition of using luxurious materials, such as French vanilla, while also incorporating the innovative spirit that has defined the brand since its founding in 1828.
Shalimar Cologne has a bright citrus opening that fades after about an hour, so apply it early in the day to enjoy its full range. The powdery base notes emerge gradually, making this fragrance more suitable for daytime than evening wear.
