The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2025 by Parfums de Marly, Carios is an audacious blend of fresh and warm spices, citrusy vibrancy, and woody depth crafted by perfumer Amélie Bourgeois. The fragrance opens with saffron and mandarin orange, offering a burst of brightness that cuts through the air. Pink pepper and black pepper add a spicy edge, while geranium and red thyme contribute an aromatic complexity that keeps the composition intriguing. As it settles, Carios reveals a warm amber and musky base anchored by tonka bean, vetiver, and cedarwood, creating a rich blend of warmth and comfort.
Apply Carios with a light hand at first; the bright top notes are quick to catch attention. The base develops over time, so wait about an hour for the full warmth to emerge. This fragrance is better suited for evenings when you want something that evolves throughout the night rather than fades quickly.
